During the month of October 2023 an initiative and tour was launched here in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, its working title was “Regenerate Cascadia”. The tour featured Joe Brewer who is world famous in the World of the Regenerative movement.

As the tour progressed the deep involvement of many in the world of #seeds became ever more apparent, so it was decided to create a Cascadia Seed Guild. It so happens that we already have a large and growing seed collection here in Eugene Oregon.
We have evolved a seed storage system which is waterproof and contains over 1,100 varieties of seeds. What we use or either ammunition boxes, like the one of the right here, or waterproof handgun cases. These are obtained from a local store called Bi-Mart here in our locality and the cases are manufactured by a company called MTM Case-guard with more details here, they have a very extensive range of cases. We also wrote a blog post on our seed collection creation and storage here. The wonderful part on seed saving, well one wonderful part, is the exponential nature of it. This is early days for the Cascadia Seed Guild and as the Carpenters once famously sung; “We’ve Only Just Begun” and we intend to continue ad-infinitum; why not join us?
